Is Discovery Days a licensed child care facility?
Yes, all our child care centers are licensed and monitored by the Wisconsin Department of Children & Family Services.


Do your facilities have secured entrances?
Yes, all of our childcare centers have a secured front door that stays locked at all times. Parents are given an individual code at the registration process.


If my child becomes sick at Discovery Days how long do I have to pick them up?
We ask that you try to come within an hour of being notified. Your child can be picked up in the office where he/she will be resting and away from the other children in the center.


What type of curriculum is followed at Discovery Days?
Lesson Plans are written weekly by the teachers. Our childcare programs involve developmentally appropriate activities involving areas such as: sensory, math, reading, writing, science, and small and gross motor activities.


What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Our Summer Camp runs from 6:30 am - 5:30 pm


How are parents kept informed about their child’s progress?
We take great care to communicate with parents on a daily basis at drop off and pick up times. Discovery Days does two evaluations per year and offers a parent conference each time. Daily sheets are sent home with pertinent information from the day in our Infant, Toddler and Two year old rooms. Parents are welcome to schedule a teacher meeting any time they want to speak about their child, or any issue in their child’s classroom.


What is the educational level of the teacher?
Teachers meet or exceed all state requirements. All staff is required to do a minimum of 25 hours in-service training per year as well.
